 SELMON EXTENSION TEMPORARILY SUSPENDS LANE CLOSURES DURING SUPER BOWL WEEK

Beginning on Friday, January 29, 2021, Selmon Extension construction crews will temporarily suspend lane closures on Gandy Boulevard, Dale Mabry Highway, and the Selmon Expressway during Super Bowl 55 festivities. Lane closures on both sides of Westshore Boulevard will remain active. All lane closures will resume on Monday, February 8, 2021. We want to remind motorists that the posted construction speed limit is 45 miles per hour. PLEASE REMEMBER DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

 OTHER EXTENSION CONSTRUCTION ALERTS WEEK OF JANUARY 30 – FEBRUARY 7, 2021

  • Intermittent lane closures in effect north of Westshore/Gandy Boulevard intersection through mid-February between 8 pm – 6 am.
  • Crosswalk closure still in effect (between Westshore Office Center and Circle K) along the west side of Westshore Boulevard.
  • A yield sign remains in place at the bottom off-ramp onto westbound Gandy Boulevard from the Expressway.
  • Sidewalk closure remains in place on eastbound Gandy Boulevard between the Dale Mabry Highway interchange and Lois Avenue.
